UI Design

For this app I came up with a unique UI design style that included the colour scheme, typography and icons. I created it entirely with custom components from the cafe pages to the buttons. To create a cohesive design I explored various aesthetics that pulled from what you'd see in a New Zealand cafe. Magazines by the likes of Kinfolk and coffee brands such as Kokako. Early on I was loosely inspired by Maori art with their bold, contrasting colours and shapes.

From the home page users can search for coffee and tailor their selection to what's currently open, nearby, accessible by wheelchair etc. Notifications showing responses to the users reviews can be accessed by the bell icon in the top right hand corner.

Home

On the "Route" page, users can find coffee on the way to wherever they're going. They simply input where they're headed and where they're going from and we'll populate suggestions along the way.

Route

Awards show a curated section of cafe's for those that want to try something new without the risk.

Awards

The profile page is a hub of the users activity. It shows their saved cafe's, the number of reviews they've  written, how many followers they have and how many they're following.
